Briefing:
To design a garden furniture store in a double height core and shell commercial space.
Architectural Solution:
A backdrop made of vertical wooden slats was devised to endow the store with a strong character that would visually dominate the store and not be affected by the diversity of exhibited furniture.
The backdrop forms a sinuous articulated surface that stretches the perimeter of the store, following a grid that has been rotated by 60 degrees in relation to the existing store and forms a sequence of separate exhibition alcoves.
To underline the commercial theme of the store an existing pillar at its center is transformed into a vertical garden.
